2022 Erde Wines ‘Iceblink Luck’ Grenache, Portland, OR

Tart cherry, raspberry, a kiss of soil, a whiff of smoke and spice. This juicy barrel-aged grenache is compelling without being heady. Drinking more like a light red than a rosé, this wine is made for hearty veggie dishes, grilled lean proteins, and light, heartfelt conversations.

​Whole cluster grenache from Equus Vineyard along the Yakima Ridge in the Columbia Valley AVA. Foot tread and left to soak for 48 hours, then pressed and moved to an egg-shaped flex tank. 200lbs of pressed Gruner Veltliner skins are added to the must and remain through 11 days of primary fermentation. Gentle punch down each morning to keep the cap wet. Unfined, unfiltered, no added sulfur. Aged for 22 months in neutral red wine barrels.
